Vacancy Announcement

The Wildlife Conservation Society – Indonesia Program (WCS-IP) is currently seeking for qualified candidates to fill the following vacancies:

General tasks

This position will work undersupervision of Program Manager Wildlife+, willimplement general tasks as follow:

1. To coordinate WCU activities in Java related with patrol, monitoring,intelligence, campaign, and law enforcement.
2. To initiate and maintain law enforcement collaboration with BKSDA Jakarta,Customs, Quarantine and police in districts and province level. 
3. Playing role as WCU agent to investigate and gather information of wildlife trafficking in Java.
4. Responsible to set up secure intelligence works with informants to gather strong evidence of wildlife trafficking.
5. To set up informant in Java and relevant areas to support intelligence worker elated with wildlife trafficking
6. Working close with SPORC agents under sting operation to arrest wildlife criminals in Java.
7. To maintain collaboration with relevant partner (NGO) related with intelligence works and investigation data sharing.
8. To maintain collaboration with journalist for public awareness, campaign, and to disseminate WCU activities. 
9. To coordinate with WCU Project Officer Northern Sumatra and WCU Project OfficerSouthern Sumatra related with intelligence sharing and trans border investigation issue.
10. To implement WCDB(Wildlife Crime Database) to record and analyze WCU data.
11. To deliver monthlyreport and any necessary reports related with WCU works to WCU ProgramOfficer.         

Qualifications:

• Minimum4 years experienced to carry out covert surveillance and intelligence worksrelated with wildlife crimes.
• Have a skill to monitor and identify protected wildlife and parts in wildlife trade market in Indonesia.
• Minimum4 years experienced to manage informants and set up operation to arrest suspect related with wildlife crimes.
• Have a skill to work under pressure and dangerous situation, also following the intelligence protocols in term of security issue.
• Able to communicate and preparing the intelligence reports in English (writing and speaking).
• Have a skill to communicate and join collaboration on intelligence works with government agents/informants.
